Primary Care Training and Enhancement: Physician Assistant (PCTE-PA)

All of our PCTE programs provide medical education for physicians and physician assistants.

Use our PCTE Grantee Evaluation Resources. They’ll help you develop an evaluation framework.

These training materials focus on readiness for interdisciplinary care, and health care access, quality, and cost.

PCTE-PA increases the number of primary care physician assistants (PA)—particularly in rural and other high-need settings. Training strengthens the access to, and delivery of, primary care services across the U.S.

Am I eligible?

When funding is available, you can apply if you are an academically affiliated PA training program*. The Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant (ARC-PA) must certify these programs.
